Event Details
This is a fundraising fashion show to be held on Thursday, October 22nd from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm at Arkitektura showroom in SOMA. This fashion show is sponsored by Liquid SPACES, a non-profit organization that supports emerging artists. Liquid SPACES is collaborating with Pathways to Children's Adopt-A-School in Serampore, India (suburb of Calcutta) that gives children living in extreme poverty, the opportunity to get an education. Pathways to Children is currently funding the school's operation budget and is in process of sending a school administrator from the United States there to develop curriculums and volunteer programs. The school is also doing a pilot program, bringing 6 to 8 children (ages 3-12) from the Red Light District, giving them housing (along with a counselor) and gradually integrating them with the slum children.
We are fundraising to support Liquid SPACES' Artist trip to establish an art program for the school which would help these poverty stricken and troubled children heal. This would provide them an outlet to release their emotions and integrate themselves into society.

Silent Auction
A silent auction will be held throughout the evening to raise funds for the Artist trip. Past Liquid SPACES' artists and friends have generously donated artwork and other items.
